Because I can't stand it when you hurt me like that! ;-)

I'm watching you dude! :hihi:
Hey, while you're here: are there any plans to improve the loading time of Atmosphere? Cubase projects with Atmosphere take forever to load. :(
Oh.........................you'll see. ;-)
:o Sounds good! :-o

And I knew there was some kind of "alert-me-when-bduffy-is-being-an-ass" button. Many use it... :hihi: :P

You might have liked version 1 better. That's the one I bought, and I was really impressed with how much diverse sounds you got for such little money. Since then, I find it a little buggy and, yes, the interface is more crowded and difficult to navigate. It's a good staple synth, for pads and basses and atmospherics, I find.
I don't think V.1 will change his mind. I tend to agree with him. I've got the latest upgrade in an attempt to really try to see what all the fuss is about. True, there is a ton of included content, but almost none of it is better than stuff I can get elsewhere. Perhaps one or two specialty sounds, but that's it.

I asked about this on a Wusik board awhile back, and the answer I got was essentially that there are a load of inexpensive high quality 3rd party sounds. Thanks, but no thanks. If you can't impress me with your 2 Gigs of included content, I don't think throwing good money after bad on 3rd party content is going to fix that.

Yeah, just a thought. I used to really like it, but now I hardly use it. Perhaps I agree after all...

I'm guessing you don't talk to guitarists much.

I'm gonna have to say Zebra, z3ta+, and Albino.

I found them all tedious to work with and difficult to get my own sounds out of. I'm more of a free homemade synth junkie.. the monster-synths just don't do it for me.

I never thought about this, but I suppose with so many brands and models of guitars, the "it's shite" "no it isn't" arguments about synths would apply to them as well. The difference, I assume, is that we're still talking about six strings, pickups, tone and volume controls, and solid versus hollow body, which seems vastly less complicated than most synths.

Not in the least. There's woods- what wood for a body? Neck and fingerboard? Lacquer or poly for finishes? Pickups- you'll get guitarists arguing about pickups for days. 250k, 400k or 500k pots? Trem or not- and which variety (and brand)? And, don't even mention string brands and gauges...

And never, ever bring up the word "tone" around a diehard electric guitatrist. Ever.

It's one of my favs and I just wanted to make sure someone hates it.
I don't like Oddity at all. Feel better?

Ummm, guitars are heavily hacked upon for being rubbish or not. And I don't like the Steinway all that much. I'll take a Yamaha C7 any day. Much brighter sounding. (And yes, I'm being serious.)
