Hi,

I'm wondering what Edison's drag and drop function actually works with? Does it only function in FL Studio?

I'm using the VST version in Audiomulch, but when I select a slice and then try dragging to another sampler that works fine with drag and drop of files from the desktop, nothing works. The samplers just reject whatever is being dragged. Or if I try to drag the slice to the desktop, the host just freezes up completely.

If I try to drag from Edison to Audiomulch's internal .wav players, I get this error and then Mulch sort of hangs:

If I look in the Edison\Data directory, there is no Patches directory. Do I need to create one? Do I need to save anything from inside Edison before I can drag?

All help appreciated.

Yeah guys have the same behaviour with all hosts that I've tried with Edison.
I hope you will try to implement this feature for hosts. It's a pity that this thing doesn't anywhere except Fruity.

Think that the VST version works a bit different than the one thats apart of FLS... Don't know the specs tho..

it's because the installer was missing a folder. Check the path in your error message, and create the folder in which it tries to save. That should work, until a future fixed installer.

Worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.

One further question: I can drag the slices now to the desktop, and to Audiomulch's wave players just fine, but I'm having trouble dragging directly to several third-party VST samplers. If I drag first to the desktop and then to the samplers it works fine, and, it works perfectly between Edison into Directwave.

Is there anything specific about the wavefiles that Edison creates that I can tell the developers of those other samplers that might help them to support it better?

Edison's drag/drop is through OLE, while a lot of plugins probably expect the old file-based one I'm afraid.

That's useful information to know, thanks. I'll go pester some devs, see if I can convince them it is a good idea.
