I love no-kick grooves.
I even once bought some audio sample CD called "No Kick". IMO kicks are rather easy to program but tough to get rid of in complete beats, yet they are pretty much among the most important elements in a groove, so this is just perfect for me.

To tell you the truth I've never used a kit without the kick.. This is a 1st for me! Because I'm so meticulous with splitting up drum parts it kinda turned me around when I 1st read this. Also I like it when my drums all have the same basic frequency structure and small amount of room (unless totally digital).. A little 'pre blend' never hurts.. Again KVR has introduced me to something new!!
