R.A.W. Country Folk Compliments and Question

Hi:
I posted this question to Esoundz's customer support e-mail, but I wanted to praise RAW Country Folk Rhythms publicly, and ask the sage minds here as well.
In the acidized WAV Guitar section, there appear to be two missing chords: "100_G_Acoustic.WAV" is totally MIA, and the "100_E_Acoustic.WAV" is actually an e-minor. This means I can't work in the keys of C,D,G,A, or E. That's pretty much the bluegrass universe!
Now the praise: these loops are FANTASTIC! They edit seamlessly in Sonar, they groove between chord changes very cleverly, and they've been beautifully recorded. Unfortunately, my songs sound a little spastic because the guitar drops out wherever there should be a "G chord" or "E chord."
Anybody else dealing with this?

A couple of things. One is that through certain programs you can alter the pitch and turn an F chord into a G chord or phrase in that key. What DAW or sampler(s) are you using?
Secondly, if you are after Bluegrass we have a more complete Bluegrass specific product that some of those loops came from. So you may find what you need there. Also, we'll honor a nice upgrade discount for Country Folk Rhythm users.

Sounds like he is using Sonar which won't have a problem with changing the pitch. In my (limited) experience so far playing with some free loops, it appears anymore than 3 0r 4 semitones eitherway is about the limit, though (guess it would depend on the loop etc).

Hi Squids:
Thanks for answering.
I'll send a follow-up e-mail via the e-soundz site, where I have an account using the same name (PF Twanger).
Thanks!

I am definitely after bluegrass. Somehow, I didn't see the more complete bluegrass product on your site, but I'm interested in buying it. The bluegrass loops I've got from RAW are *very* impressive!Squids wrote:A couple of things. I'm using Sonar, and I can manipulate the chord. I wanted to be sure it wasn't an oversight, and I was hoping for something more organic.![]()

Thanks for correctly noting my reference to Sonar. I'll use that program to fix it, now that Squids has confirmed that it wasn't an oversight on Sonic's part. I'm also going to look into their more complete bluegrass product.
Greatly appreciate the help--and style of the posters on this board!

to Squids:
By the way, that guitar "E chord" file is still labeled incorrectly. And I can't fix that. Most programs can raise or lower pitch, but they can't change a minor chord to a major chord.
Is it incorrect in the original set also, or did this just happen when it was re-bundled into the RAW set?
TIA,
PF Twanger

What is the name of the sound file exactly? I am going to be slammed with the NAMM show for the next week but I will re-reference this just to see when I get back. But, either way, I believe the Bluegrass collection will have all of the chords you need for the world of Blueness. The Country Folk Rhythms is supposed to be a mix of different things from Folk to Country Pop to a little bit of Bluegrass. I REALLY like the way those loops came out though. Those mandolin and dobros are sweet sounding. I think you will LOVE the full Bluegrass collection. I played it for a really big Bluegrass fan and he said to me "Dave, I've heard a lot of Bluegrass and this is some of the best sounding stuff I've ever heard!". That's a big compliment. Actually, it was the owner of ILIO who said that. Mark Hiskey. A long time friend and a trusted opinion.PF Twanger wrote:to Squids:

Hi Squids:

I understand about NAMM. I'll call you guys when you get back. I want that bluegrass stuff!
