Hi/
Can I map Clear and recording controls to midi?
I would like to trigger it from a foot controller while playing guitar.
Cheers.

not at the moment, but in the next version you'll find it on the settings page as a "global" parameter.
I agree 100% that those parameters should be automatable (automable?, automobile?) well, controllable by midi...

I think that when this feature will be implemented, I'd like to suggest a F.R
Let me share my idea with you here in order to have your opinions
I think that it would be interesting (mainly for people who record there own loops and get them sliced with LS) to have an option to be able to do a sort of 'batch recording'.
Lets take an example for someone who wants to record some 2-measures guitar riffs on the fly :
- Map the 'batch recording' function on a foot controller
- Set the length of the loops that will be recorded in the slicer (I.E. 2 measures)
- Activate the 'sync' button
- Start the sequencer
- Start 'batch recording' with the foot controller
- Start to play some guitar riffs
- Every 2 measures, a track is automatically being created in the arranger and the riff is being 'Locked to loop' to it
- Stop batch recording with the foot controller...
It will be a little bit like the recording function with the mix button activated, but each loop gets its own track in the arranger...
What do you think about this F.R guys? Will it also be useful to some of you here?
Cheers,
GilJ.

I purchased LiveSlice a few days ago, and its great!
It has loads of features!
Thank You.
Good idea.GilJ wrote:What do you think about this F.R guys? Will it also be useful to some of you here?
Multi-take mode.
Similar to effect mode but adds a track for every loop circle.
I think "Add track" could be automatable too.
Cheers.

I totally agree. All the static stuff should be vst parameters, and I'll get around to assignable parameters too at some point.GilJ wrote:Sure, it would be very very cool and handy to have the 'main' parameters of LS as VST parameters (Rec, Start/Stop, Sync, Undo etc.)DarkStar wrote:. .. or VSt parameters ?

That's a good idea to quickly jam up a bank of loops. Looks like all I need to do is add a little to the "effect" mode (add a new arrangement instead of overwriting the existing one). How many of you would use this?GilJ wrote:I think that when this feature will be implemented, I'd like to suggest a F.R![]()

You'd probably be interested in another project I'm working on: a midi controllable live looper, based loosely on the "headrush" hardware loop devices. The plan is to integrate this with liveslice so you can send recorded tracks directly to the liveslice loops list. The main idea is: control all your recording / playback with as few foot controllers as possible.

The batch recording idea is an excellent idea. I would be one that would use it for sure.gilJ wrote:- Every 2 measures, a track is automatically being created in the arranger and the riff is being 'Locked to loop' to it
The bit i like here is the automatic creation of a track in the arranger. I feel this should be default. So you would make the settings in the slicer window, record a take (or a batch) and an arrangement track automatically gets created/locked.
I'm better than you. Deal with it.
