And I doubt there will be much more, considering the autumn's abundance of new product. And the ensuing chaos...

I half expected something about a "Pro-54", though.

...you think there'll be more?

i sure hope!

I like the Massive update, but am hoping for a Reaktor upgrade, but i also believe if they where going to upgrade Reaktor soon it would've been amongs the first news they announced as well.

...I think there will be nothing more announced by NI right now. My guesses for the rest of the year would be Pro-54 - Musikmesse, Reaktor 6 - Summer NAMM, Kontakt 3 - AES. These three and Bandstand thrown into Komplete 5 presented at the AES...

At winter NAMM last year NI was a pretty big let down too. I was kind of hoping for Pro 54 as well...oh well.

I'm hoping the Massive update will fix the fact that using multiple instances of Massive is totally unusable at the moment... Then give me some new features!

In the comments on the FFT upload from NI around Xmas, it was said that R6 is a long ways off, I don't think there will be any upgrade before then, certainly not one of any significance.

improving massive's cpu consumption would have been more appealling to me than a new osc...

OK, let me get my marketing crystal ball out and predict the coming year...

A Pro-54, or similar.

No Kontakt 3: They just spent a heck of a lot converting and consolidating all sample-based products to the K2 format, and developed the K2 player. They will continue to basically milk the K2 format for another year if they have any financial sense. Most likely, there will be a "major minor" upgrade, say Kontakt 2.5, with enhanced scripting, usability enhancements, stuff to please Intakt users, etc. (Possibly a paid upgrade.)

No Reaktor 6: There are only a handful of users who even TRY to use the Core level of 5 the way it was intented, so where to go with brand new stuff without "scaring off" existing users? Instead, a paid-for 5.5 upgrade with new ensembles, and ready-made Core-based new modules... (oh, well, you insist: Throw in FFT and call it Reaktor 6, then! )

Now for the major stuff:

Sekvencer: A brand new NI host concept, integrated with a red-and-black Star Wars control surface, which turns out to basically be a much expanded Kore control. (The controller will act as a dongle for a few months, until the angry screams of would-be users force them to drop the dongle part.)

A brand new series of mixing and mastering effects, bundled with Sekvencer as well as available separately.

No less than 137 different upgrade paths and bundle options, some of which will spontaneously self-combust at unexpected moments in time, and for unexplained reasons, and all of which will cause further total meltdowns in the product activation routines.

Finally, NI will buy UPS and put armed guards on each transport to ensure no more epidemic outbursts of shipments "lost in the mail". :P
