I missed this one in the sales whan it was being sold for a few pennies years ago. What a shame. I remember playing one in Turnkey...those knobs are the key to the universe...ahhhh

Had a Kawai K5000r for a few years. Can't say I miss it. But the keyboard itself for the K5000S/W was excellent. The knobs felt good, the keybed was nice, it's just an overall excellent constructed board. The S was nicer that it had the knobs, but the S didn't have the extra sounds the W had... not like the extra sounds were like totally awesome or anything. It was just trying to compete with the rest of the market at the time to "be one to rule them all" kinda thing.

Someone wanted a "Real" additive synth there, Mr. K? ;)

Simple music philosophy - Those who can, make music. Those who can't, make excuses.

Not really. Like you say it, the action's as good as it gets on a synth and it makes for a brilliant master keyboard.

But mainly it's the brushed chrome that I bought it for.
