well, if vurt's going to be there i guess i'll have to go :hihi:

speaking of audiovisual performance, i've just returned from a little instalation of 2nd and 3rd year music tech students 'films'/'media' scoring/rescoring. :-o some fantastic pieces were shown! one guy did a whole little anime film + score! im screwed if I have to do something like that. :? Another guy re-scored an old clip from a 1980's anime film - he scored the same clip orchestraly then electronicaly - great stuff.

The guys will film lots of clips and edit down to 2 films, 1 is about 2 minutes long for advertising the event and DC productions portfolio and the other will be about 10 minutes (any longer and it may get boring!) which will be to show our grandchildren to show them what damage drugs can do. :P

vurt, I'm looking forward to seeing you there (as are a few others it seems), will you be open to people sonically adding to your set? We have a few audio jammers there so we may have to keep sets down to 30 mins especially if folk want to perform their own set, there's always flexibility though!

We have very little to pay out, the only thing we need is to pay for the doorman which is £30, Ben and myself have paid for the large posters which are around a few towns now, it works out as either a £5 or £3 each something like that but again I'm easy, its a non-profit event to promote electronic music so no charge to the audience. Hope you don't mind?

Do you still need somewhere to stay?

more than happy for anyone to join in anywhere anyhow, its all about makin noise for me, no egos!

you mean you didnt get the bill from my management :o
hehe yeah of course, no problems at all, again to me its about the oppurtunity to play out and do stuff im actually interested in doing, plus if they dont pay they cant ask for their cash back when im rubbish
Do you still need somewhere to stay?
indeed i do, preferably someone who doesnt mind the fact i "smoke", even if they ask me to do it outside ;)
just a sofa or floor is fine, i dont expect bed n breakfast :hihi:

Thanks, I'll ask for a place to stay and keep you informed!

if it turns out you cant find me anywhere, well look at the train times and perhaps swap my set with something earlier and i can leave for the last train. but we can sort that out, im not worried about that.

what ill also try and do before the date is give you set list kind of thing, altho i will be ultimately improvising i want to have some sort of plan of action, that way we can maybe communicate with the visuals guys to give them at least some ideas of what directions the set will go in, just so theyre not dropping strobey imagery over pad type sounds then long drawn out colour washes over beats if ya get me? (altho that can work of course)

okay and I'll get a revised list of who's doing what and at what time!

Ben says yes that's fine to crash at his, he's a modern type of guy, you will need to smoke outside though but he's not anti.

thats cool 8)
