HI
Are there any ways to 'Acidize' a loop outside of ACID?
I kind of remember some stating it was; may have been inside soundforge?

LiveSlice can write some of the acid info at least the tempo and number of beats. The demo can do this as well, so it won't hurt you to try it out. I use the ACID info mainly to store slice info and never tried loading a loop saved in LiveSlice to ACID, but I'd be curious to hear about your results.
Bear in mind that although I'm working on simple editor functionality at the moment it's a beat slicer VST - not a dedicated wave editor. I suggest you get the demo soon though, because I'm considering limiting the save functionality to 8 bits in the demo version when I add crop, normalize, better zoom, etc. to the editor.

----Several programs will include Acid tempo info when rendering to .wav, none will include Key, that has to be added manually to each file. The Acidized tempo part obviously works best on sequenced parts it should be noted. To Acidized (properly) live played loop samples, the timing markers must be adjusted manually also.

----FL only tags tempo info to .wav's, and doesn't add proper markers except for sequenced/programmed beats/notes.Lagrange wrote:FL will acidize wav files.. And also Adobe Audition.. oh did you say free??

Sound Forge.
However, note that Acidization done in in one app is not always percieved in another. If the program you're using to do Acid wav loop playback in is not Acid itself, do do the proceedure for implementing that app's own Acidization.

I think Acon Acoustica can do this, too.
