it no longer being developed. I think a lot more could have
been done with it.
Though I am mostly using my EZ live w/o a computer, there seem to be many who are interested in the computer-based processing.

I am a Windows C++ software developer (see www.pasco.com/datastudio - I was the first programmer at PASCO and run the software team). I work with scripting languages occaisionally, but it is not my main bag.

Is someone willing to summarize the desired capabilities of a MIDI event filtering plug-in for the EZ in a short proposal? I am considering writing a pro-quality plug-in, but need a clear picture of what everyone would need & the interest level. I am capabable of creating something with a high degree of user configurability and high ease-of-use. This info will help me decide if and when I can take this on.

No exactly true, as each build is different, as it contents some of your personal data, probably the less painful protection system for the user.

Now I'm not going to stay in front of my pc 24 hours a day waiting for an eventual customer. And it's not only the question of selling the product but to provide support, which I wouldn't be able to provide now (will be again away for 2-3 month).

Speaking about upgrades, adding features is getting more and more complex. This is due to the nature of MIDI, adding a single parameter and you have to check how it interacts with all others, writing exceptions when needed and believe me I have already plenty of those. That's a little the same problem with ksp (k2 scripts), people are writing some cool scripts, but very often can't work together. And with the Suite, having a standalone and a vst version doesn't make things easier.
And currently, I don't see a good enough reason for me to go thru all this trouble.
Would I have been a little more selfish, I would have written only a VST-MA version (cubase only), as it's the best MIDI SDK around (even with the bugs) and eventually selling it for 399€ with a dongle :wink:

Great ! Can you make a VSTMA version as well to overcome Cubase quantisation issue with VST-MIDI ?

I kind of followed this thread for a while but didn't really pay attention enough at the time you did your new suite. This was because I was too busy and did not have my EZ hooked up and running at that moment. By the time I had saw you had released it, you had already stopped selling it.
This is exactly me scenerio as well. Please reconsider, or at least PM me and I'll pay pal you right now!

thanks,

Given that:
1) there is no demo (I'm not going to build a new one)
2) within 1-2 weeks I will be away for 2-3 month, which means no support during that time
3) the vst version will probably NOT work with your DAW
4) Even if I started with a few extra features a while ago, there is NO warranty of any kind I release an update one day. (at least not as long as I feel nausea when I open the project)
5) You don't mind that I mind if you decide to buy the software
6) You know what is a virtual MIDI driver and how to use it
7) You are aware that Yamaha discontinued the ez guitars making this suite a not so brilliant investment
.. running a little out of arguments but make sure to read them again before you go here:

I could use all channels(all strings)sent to channel one as some plugins work better that way, and all low velocity notes totally filtered out(like when you fret a note but don't pluck the string). That would make it guitar-like. Seems pretty basic?

Yes, those features are quite desirable. Also some of the features that you programmed into your Midi Solutions Event Processor would be good....things like being
able to assign control functions: program
change, channel select, transpose etc..to various fret buttons...some fx like an arpeggiator and midi delay would be cool too! :D

The ezg suite rules! I'll be using it ten years from now. I copied it to a million discs so I'll never lose it.

Yeah, that's me! :lol:

I've yet to try to hook it up to the new Garritan Stradavarius Violin and Grofflier Cello: I'll report when that happens.

Open the EZ_AG.hta file in wordpad and look for this line:
roots = Array(-1, &H4C, &H47, &H43, &H3E, &H39, &H34)
and replace it with this:
roots = Array(-1, &H34, &H39, &H3E, &H43, &H47, &H4C)
Then just save the file.

Uhm, i havent readed all the thread, i've just arrived here, so as i read each related post i'm trying the ways to flip my EZ-EG for left handed use, and this one is suposed to work with TenCrazy.com application, isn't it ? the fact is that i can't find the code above mentioned.

Please left handed users, help me ! i love EZ-EG, i'll use live and home, it's just the kind of tool i was looking for my cosmic funk !

Post

I have tha AG, the strings are pretty soft. Are the strings on the EG pretty stiff? good enough for some hard funk rhythm guitar styles?

thanks
