Love that word "de-dongled."

According to the omniscient Mr. Squids, CSR will be castrated within a month. [If my memory serves me right. It is in a thread here somewhere.]

Yes, that's the "word on the street"; I remember reading that too.

Somewhere, there's an update schedule posted on the IK site, but I can't seem to find it now.
I remember it did say that the CSR update was happening in January.
I personally didn't think of the dongles as the huge problem that most seem to say it was, but I'm glad it's going away. Kudos to IK for listening to thier users, and I hope sales go up for them as a result. CSR is a GREAT product!
IMHO, the crossgrade price is a no brainer.

Being an owner of both Cubase and AirEQ, I can say I have no problems with the Syncrosoft dongle. But I wouldn't mind one bit if they took a running jump. Less dongles/protection schemes and any time spent by us, the customers, donating our time for free to pacify the developers' concerns, is good news.
Mind you, I'm still surprised they got rid of them.

I dont really have a problem with dongles but the laptop is becoming less portable all the time with stuff hanging out the back of it. Having to get USB hub is just one more thing I would have to lug about.

Guys, let's not discuss cracks in here please. Some comments have been deleted.
To answer the question: Yes it will be dongleless soon. Not sure exactly when but should be before the end of February.

What about, there is a crack in my dongle, which has rendered the software I paid for useless.Squids wrote:Guys, let's not discuss cracks in here please. Some comments have been deleted.
JK. Still, I can't wait for the castration to commence.

It's not only a great verb, but it's pretty easy on the CPU, too.
