There will be monthly bITjAM in Fat cats bar Hanley Stoke on Trent, last Thursday of each month for the next 3 months initially. The January gig is at The Underground Hanley 31/1/07, just get in touch if you fancy performing!

Vurt I'm putting together a guide to the performances (it seemed to have worked well last time), I'm trying to describe the individual performances, even a genre! can you either describe how your set develops/sounds and if possible some indication of genres (make your own up?). The local BBC will ask me tomorrow what music will be performed I can then roughly describe it, also the video guy may improvise on the night and like you said he can sync up with your ebb and flow!

ooh this is the hard bit, putting it into words without writing an essay
i guess
improvised collages using samples of multiple sound sources from natural sounds to machinery, with tools such as samplers and granular synths to create audio landscapes and (occassional)rhythms.
that be ok?
i will try and get you a better running order to pass to the video guy, at the moment im looking at 5 prepared compositions with themes he could tie in with visuals, just need to finalise it and have a runthrough.

Well, change of plan for me. I think i can make it after all.
I shall book my train ticket soon (although i'll have to get the train about 6/7 in the mornin the next day to get back
).
Whats everyone using hardware wise? dont think i can be bothered to take my big keyboard on the train again..might nab an ozone from the music tech lab or something.

...as a heart attack
Bloody good time yeah?
John -- I'm off to work shortly but I'll try to catch up on IRC to discuss the pertinents.
Reckon someone might have a bit of room in their tent?

And if you have a USB midi thingy I would probably be able to set you up a synth + and a couple of fx on my laptop or something if you want. (so long as my comp can handle it...)
