You could just download any of the free 1000000000000000000000000000000000 general midi files available on the net and loop a random 4 bars... change a couple of notes and you're not breaking copyright either.

Newtronic did this work for you. AFAIK, all of their products worth their price.

Or simply get xoxos arp4midi. It is the most full-featured vst arp I've seen, and it is free.

Several years ago I bought a floppy containing MIDI arpeggios from Keyfax. I think they were inspired by arpeggios from analog synths, and I occasionally found a use for them. (I'd rather use MIDI arps than those built into patches.)
But I just looked at keyfax.com and didn't see the product. Maybe it's been replaced by the Twiddly.Bits collection. Check that out.

This may be the Twiddly.Bits that Mitch is describing: Programmer's Toolkit, found on this page, midway... http://www.keyfax.com/keyfax/prdct.htmlMitch I. wrote:Several years ago I bought a floppy containing MIDI arpeggios from Keyfax. Twiddly.Bits Modular Madness also has some nice arpeggios.
I have both of these and they are not bad. However some of the other suggestions listed above -- like xoxos arp4midi -- provide much greater flexibility.
