Hello,

I've got a problem with ManyGuitar and Cubase Studio 4: When I save a project and reload it, ManyGuitar will return to the default settings and ignore all changes I've made before saving. Strangely enough, this does happen only in 90 % of the cases, not all the time. But I cannot see any structure in how and when it will happen. Corresponding to that problem, the "save/load preset" option in Cubase Studio 4 does not work with ManyGuitar.

Well, I can't say whether it is a Cubase issue or a ManyGuitar problem. It did not happen in Cubase SE 3, on the other hand it does not happen with other plugins in Cubase Studio 4.

Any idea ?

Cheers, V.

Hi

I have asked Aldo to come by this thread and have a look.

As I do not have Cubase Studio 4, I cannot directly test myself. But I can say in a year+ since ManyGuitar was released we have not had 1 bug report other than the name showed up wrong in a couple hosts. So it sounds strange that you are having troubles.

Any other ManyGuitar users out the with Cubase Studio 4? Perhaps you guys can chime in too if you see this thread.

The fact that the saved song is not loading proper leads me to think a program change is in your Midi data. but that is just an idea to look for, till we hear from Aldo.

Thanks for being so responsive. I have been using ManyGuitar for several months now (in Cubase SE 3), it has been absolutely bug-free, and this is the first problem I have ever had with it. It might very well be that the source of the problem is lying somewhere in Cubase (Studio) 4, as there have been some changes in the preset management. But I thougt that if I ever want to use ManyGuitar again, it might be reasonable to contact you (instead of Steinberg support...). Greetings, Volker

Hi Volker
Aldo our coder for ManyGuitar is looking into this now so hang in there. But so far this is the only bug report I have so it may be tougher to trace where the problem lies.
Thanks
