I've been trying different layouts. This one, while not extremely efficient, looked nice. I'm not entirely happy with it though, I liked some things in the old one.
I put some kind of waveform dependent area in the oscillators. I'm experimenting with some graphic labels too.
Comments please!

A couple of more questions:
What do the values in "Range" mean?
I just noted that there is no A+B option when selecting a modulator for amplitude or panning. I suspect there is some low level reason involved in this decision?

Mmmm, where, exactly?

Oh, and I don't see sustain pedal support in the TODO list...
very cool! I really like the color scheme and minimal style.

The GUI design is nice and neat, it will be much easier to edit sounds with it. Thankfully, we will have an option to change colours, thanks Aciddose, because I like dark colours like onour_77, too. Actually, I absolutely adore the current Xhip colours .

This is gonna be great :D.

quite impressed with these skins, dark colors are maybe the better... but time will tell..

hey 'dose and gsoto, just as a comment, one that has been made before: when we click on the small sliders, will a big slider pop up, like in Synth1? that would be cool. also, would numerical entry be possible?--particularly for the tuning parameters.

i like this gui more and more, it's so well laid out and clear.

yes - optionally.
yes - optionally - but you only have a 0-255 range for all parameters currently.

not until after the whole thing is working and i release a few testing versions.
