Hi there!

I'm new here and this is my first post. I bought the UBK two days ago and used it in one of my songs.

I'm still learning the mixing/mastering process and would like to ask you what you think of this song and the mix of it. I used the Fingered preset of the UBK and used SFZ to load the soundfont in Cubase SX 1 (yes 1 ).

I found it's easy to over-produce things with compression/limiting, wich was exactly what I did it with previous mixes. I wanted to aviod that in this one. But I would like to hear what you guys think of it.

Cool Track. I Like the first one that uses Ultimate Bass Kit best.
The mix is smoother and the instruments sit nicely together. Great Guitar playing also.

Oh and I forgot to say that I really like the UBK, and think the Fingered preset is the one I'll probably be using the most, since I'll be needing more finer playing in most of my tracks (this was a simple bass line and even there I liked the Fingered preset the most).

I just noticed the bandwith limit of my homepage is exceeded because of these tracks. I'm affraid I'll have to take them down or replace them with samples instead of full songs... or perhaps start using a soundclick account or something...

I even tried to get your links to be clickable but could not in your post, I think this is due to you needing 10 posts at KVR before you can post urls, this helps avoid spam a bit.

Hi Caleb,

Well, it's streaming only, and it works for me. After clicking the url, you I select 'hi-fi' and the pop-up window appears and automatically plays the song. Perhaps you got pop-up scripts disabled or something, so you might have to give permission to your browser for these scripts.

It seemed to work this time. Still something weird going on with the player interface, but I at least got about 3 mins of it until it cut out.

Cool stuff - think all you need is a lead vocal some back-up vocals and then take it on the road.

Funny you say that; it actually used to be a song that included a vocal lead indeed, but I preferred to make instrumetal music only, so I created that lead guitar instead.

Still it's weird that it only plays 3 minutes; I can hear the whole thing.

Anybody else has listening problems @ Soundclick???
