I have found some nice sound fonts
on the homepage from papelmedia.
I m wondering if there are any free sf out there including
good strings, woodwinds and other orchestra instruments.
Anybody who knows more?

There's S.J. Orchestral which can be hard to find...
If you search KVR for SJO you'll probably also find the competitors

sf2midi is a great place to find soundfonts. You have to wade through a bit of garbage to find the diamonds, though. Requires free registration to download. You can find SJ Orchestral there.

Look for Squidfont Orchestral - it's a freebie. I seem to remember that it might be slightly out of tune when played through sfz (I don't think it's sfz's fault).

It's common knowledge.
Some of the people at phorum.sf2midi.com had their stuff ripped off.
Do a search their for papelmedia... you'll see.

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

I used Squidfont Orchestral soundfont way back, I probably still have it on an old backup CD. It's pretty good, but yes it's a little out of tune.
And yes, it's true about Papelmedia.
