i am using logic express 7.2 and the free version of this synth and am trying to get the direction of playback parameter to link to a midi controller, but it is not being recognized by logic as an automateable parameter. i have an intel mac so i am using the universal binary au plugin. is this feature witheld from the free version or is there some other issue... is it simply not possible?
this seems like a great value piece of software and if i could get this parameter remotely controlled i would most likely buy it.
linking direction of crossfade synth to controller...

When you say the free version, do you mean the completely free version (1.3) or the free demo of the latest version (2.1.5)?

There is no limitation in the demo version as regards automation.
You can certainly control this parameter via MIDI - it's CC#78, see http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/xfadel ... _midi.html
However I don't claim to understand Logic's automation. It always seems to be something of a law unto itself, making things hard that should be easy. When I get a moment I'll see if I can make it work.
Bottom line is, it certainly should work.

I just tried it - it seems to work fine, if I understand what Logic's telling me correctly (see attached image).
