I'm very much bothered by your use of the term 'hetro'...being a straight man, i cannot be anything but offended at the blaze, and obviously prejudiced way the name has been used. Can't a guy not take up the ass and still feel part of society nowadays? "Phrase arpreggiator" indeed.

YAY! - also think in the interests of flame wars its possibly a bit strange like Reverse said, but im not sure where i stand on this...

I'm very much looking forward to it too. i loved Cygnus so much i mailed one of the guys at Computer Music highlighting it when he made a post @ kvr asking about good quality freebies. So i know it's not going to disappoint.

Thats H3tro as in H3trodyne BTW..

It uses some innovative cross modulation techniques combined with waveshaping, and if you un-sync all of the oscillatores it can do the Siren, Alien, Musical explosion type stuff. Sync it all up and it gets warm, gritty and buzzy with lots of movement in the sound..
Use the arpeg and the Echo together and we arrive in Tangerine Dream land..

I will post some audio demos later..

OK this is just me noodling around with Chainers Randomise Patch feature (I haven't written any patches yet!) and recording the results.
No external processing of any kind.

I'm not certain that its the best demo of the thing, I'm sure that better sounds are in there but I felt it gave a flavour of what to expect
