BTW, do you think it is possible to create an FM piano that has as much vibe as this one:

in Sytrus?

I forgot: a new feature is linking velocity to envelope attack time and/or attack level, and linking release velocity (if your host supports it) to envelope release time.and what are the new features?

That's a really great sound! I love how the volume modulates the timbre. Certainly it's possible with Sytrus, though it seems to have quite a nice reverb that you might have to add afterward. I'm working on it nowliving sounds wrote:BTW, do you think it is possible to create an FM piano that has as much vibe as this one:

Sorry to those who can't get the presets to load at the moment. I'm sure reflex is very busy with resolving issues with FL7, so please be patient.
Ah I totally missed that. Maybe a button on the main page would be easier to find; there's also the 'soften' control that could be merged with it.tony tony chopper wrote:I forgot: a new feature is linking velocity to envelope attack time and/or attack level, and linking release velocity (if your host supports it) to envelope release time.and what are the new features?

Hunterkiller, you can put these in your Sytrus presets directory and they will show up in Sytrus' preset browser.

Actually, Daven, I can confirm that none of these FSTs actually pull up in Sytrus from the preset browswer. I can see them and select them, but the patches don't load. Any ideas? Perhaps we do need a FXP?

I'm afraid, short of bothering reflex, there's not much to do about it. I posted a note here.nebulae wrote:Actually, Daven, I can confirm that none of these FSTs actually pull up in Sytrus from the preset browswer. I was mainly looking for general advice, I usually create sounds from the imagination and not from real world objects. I am now looking into buying Edison since you've mentioned it. I don't think no one here will mind if you rambled on about a few of your secretsDavenH wrote:It really depends on the type of sound you're after. Anything specific? I could probably ramble a lot but perhaps that should be for a thread in the sound design forum.

Yes, thank you nebulaenebulae wrote:Hunterkiller, you can put these in your Sytrus presets directory and they will show up in Sytrus' preset browser.
It's just that I like presets in a bank, makes it much more organised, when you have thousands that is!

Sytrus is such a deep synth. It almost disarms you with the GUI, and then you realize how deep the rabbit hole goes...hollabaq wrote:beautiful...I had no idea Sytrus had so many nice sounds!

Most of them yeahJerGoertz wrote:Hey DavenH, are these sounds in the 2.5 update??
The odd one isn't, but you can download the .rar I posted earlier if you feel inclined. They should load fine now if you've updated to v2.5.
New stuff... I did a recreation of Meshuggah's Acrid Placidity, which entailed making some interesting electric guitar sounds. Download here. All Sytrus of course
