I intend to purchase monitors tomm, and have had my eye on these ones for quite some time now. I want to hear from folks who have either pair. My situation is that my room leaves me in a bind when it comes to acoustics, and after discussing it in another thread I was told that maybe the 5's would be better for my situation as they spit out less bass, thus helping with accuracy more. I would like to hear what your room is like, which type of monitors you have, and how well off you are with them.

From what is said, they sound pretty good. However, while they are cheaper than the RP-8, the RP-5's are half the price of those. I don't know, i'll see if they got those when I go to guitar center. Maybe then I can see how they sound.

How much is 195.00 EUR in American Dollars? Anybody know? I'm curious as to see what these are like, but i'll have to try them before I decide on what to purchase.

No monitor is going to make up for bad room acoustics. Don't spend money on new monitors in a attempt to correct room acoustics, properly acoustically tune the room. Then, get new monitors if you still feel the need.
