Soon I'll be in the market for a new laptop. Lately I have been envious of people I see on the morning train with their itty-bitty machines. But of course, I do music on my laptop, so I must have one with two hard drives in it... but that means I can't get the itty-bitty laptop. How to reconcile this? Is there a machine out there with two drives that's tiny?

I'm outgrowing my "desktop replacement" as it is right now. I can't imagine something smaller unless it was to dj, mix and mash tracks, or dedicate to one purpose. For me, composition needs to be on a larger machine.

I work on a 17" screen right now. I can't imagine smaller than 15".

But it really depends what you are working with, I imagine.
