Song with UltimateBassKit - your opinion on mix

Peolpe are talking about two songs? I can just find one "On the move". A player window is opening with just this song, some info and a litte picture of you(I guess) in the corner. Anyway it's a very nice tune, cool and laidback. The bass sounds great but perhaps you should lower the rhythm guitar just a notch? I think it sometimes clashes with the solo guitar. I not a good mixer/master myself so I know how hard this can beRMD wrote:[update]

Hi there!
I'm new here and this is my first post. I bought the UBK two days ago and used it in one of my songs.
I'm still learning the mixing/mastering process and would like to ask you what you think of this song and the mix of it. I used the Fingered preset of the UBK and used SFZ to load the soundfont in Cubase SX 1 (yes 1).
I found it's easy to over-produce things with compression/limiting, wich was exactly what I did it with previous mixes. I wanted to aviod that in this one. But I would like to hear what you guys think of it.

You get tone daef and sound deaf and god-knows-what deaf after awhile. BTW is it a strat you are using?-

I guess you just heard the mp3 before I took it down recently. The notification email from this website probably got in my spambox, so I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner.
Anyway, thanks for the positive response. Yes, there were two versions uploaded in the beginning and I took down the old version after people agreed that the new one was a better mix and because I had bandwith problems with my homepage. I later created a SoundClick account and included the url to it in the first post.
Perhaps I should take a new listen to that rhythm guitar when I get around to it; I can't tell right now. I thought I already used quite a lower volume setting for it. Lowering the volume is easy to do
The guitar I used is a customized Fender Squire, with a "mini hotbucker" pickup from DiMarzio at the neck. So in a way you're right; it is a strat-model guitar indeed.
