As the subject says, I've just installed Windows XP on my music PC. Along with fresh installs of Ableton and Rhino.

I'm still having the same problems! Any projects that have more than once instance of Rhino will NOT open correctly again after saving them. The waveform that Rhino cannot find is always the same for a particular project, but is different between projects. Ultimately, I cannot use more than once instance of Rhino in any project, and this is the only VST instrument I have that has this limit...

I hope you're still looking into this, Tick! :?

Chis,
I haven't heard back from Ableton for getting a NFR - and the sample projects you sent me load fine in the demo for me :(

Check your PM. I'll send you some instruction for further investigation.

Done, Tick! Not encouraging to hear Ableton aren't forthcoming with your requests... hopefully the details I sent you will help.

It has since been established that I had a faulty RHINO.VFS file, and replacing it has cleared the "wave file missing" problem. However multiple Rhinos still seem to cause Ableton to behave oddly, refusing to play the currently open project, freezing for about 20+ seconds when changing routing settings, adding VST instruments etc. So anyone else who is having similar problems, it's not quite solved yet. :(

Have you installed the newest version of Live? v6.05 is out today ...

Tried it with 6.0.5, loaded up my test Rhino project, and not only did the same behaviour occur, the "missing wave" bug happened AGAIN.

I replaced the - supposedly working - VFS file with the "correct" version (which I had already previously done), attempted to load the same project again, and did not get a "missing wave" message, but DID still get the same freezing behaviour.

*sigh* If this doesn't get fixed, I think I'll have to sell my license. :( Tick has been fast to help me with this, which is all I would ask for, so I do thank him for the help; but as Rhino is clearly not fully compatible with Ableton, I can't really use it.
