Hi.
I downloaded the East West Freebie last month, the 2 GB one.I figured out how to use the sounds with Kontakt 2 after monkeying around with registry settings.

I'd like to keep about 3 of the sounds in this collection and dump the rest of it since it takes up so much space, but I cant figure out how to do it.K2 will NOT give me the option of saving patch+sample of individual sounds, only the patch which means I'm stuck with these two huge Monolith files that the samples are in.

Is there something I havent thought of? Nothing in the K2 manual helps.Has anyone been able to do this?

Thanks. :help: 8)

Because NI has a monetary investment in the protection of the format they don't allow for extraction from it.

There is however a cracked version of Kontakt 2 out there that lets you save in whatever format you want from whatever patches you like (regardless of whether they are protected or not). I used that version to save a few patches out of Colossus a while back. My thinking was much the same as yours; a lot of Colossus wasn't to my liking and 32GB was a lot of HDD space to give up (although I wish I could get the same proportion of my £500 back!)

I obviously can't post any links on here to the cracked version (not that I even have it anymore or a link to it) but if you can look around on torrent sites you should be able to find the cracked version (think it was 2.1 dont think 2.2 has been cracked in that regard).

Hope this helps.

just to sum it briefly, I checked all libraries values mentioned there and they're already labeled "kontakt2". that's why I was asking, this method doesn't work on k2.2.
thanx anyway.
