I still may give it another chance one day, with some MIDI processing I may finally get something out of it.CapnLockheed wrote:Interested in selling or trading that G50...hmn??

Sounds like a plan....midi processing has breathed new life
into my Roland GK-3/GR-50 setup,(and my EZ-EG of course!).
I've been cruising E-Bay for a G50 as I've heard they track a bit better than Roland units.....supposedly they're based on the same neural net tech as the Axxon units.
Cheers......CL

I,ve been using the envelope tool in energy xt to set up gradual fades. I open the envelope tool and set it to send cc #7, which usually controls a vsti's volume. There is an option in the edit menu of the envelope tool for fade out (sine fade out). I put the envelope tool before the plugin I want to play and it controls the volume knob for me. The demo version of XT could do this for you.pichonz wrote:
The only thing I would like to change is the presets that enable you to play open strings. When I play an open string that midi note stays on. For some instruments like piano which even if you hold a note it gradually fades away, having open notes stick is not a problem. There are other vsts that will keep playing and will not fade away.
That's what works for me,

I'll probably be selling a Yamaha G50 in the near future (located in Sydney).
According to the inventor/developer of the technology and algorithms, Alex Szalay,
when using the G50 with magnetic hex pickups (Roland GK-2A, GK-3 or Yamaha or Axon equivalents), tracking accuracy and speed is the same as the current model Axon AX-100 MkII. For piezo hex pickups, some improvements were made on the Axon, after the Yamaha G50 was released.
To confirm that, just search yahoo midiguitar group for posts by szalay.
BTW, how does the "quote" feature work on this forum?
Cheers, Udo

several places. As I'm using a GK-3 right now the piezo related
improvements are'nt a major issue. Of course if I had the money
I'd buy a Ghost or RMC system and a new Terratec AX-100MkII....sigh.

Hallo, after reading all this discussion I decided to buy my own EZ. Because I live in Czech Republic, I had to buy AG, EG doesn't sell here any more. And, I have to thank you all, this is just fine piece of hw. First song made only with Ez and VST instrument in Cubase http://www.nightvisions.cz/file.php?id=14 (http://www.nightvisions.cz/file.php?id=14)

Not your fault: new members on KVR have their links 'shielded' until they've posted enough times (10 or 20?). When you reach that number, all of your previous posts will look like the preview!kubiiiik wrote:I am sorry for stupid displaying of my html addresses, in preview it seem ok, but here in forum it is strange... sorry

Hi,
I've been using Markelford's script in conjunction with Sonar and P5 and I'm pretty impressed. I've read nothing but praise for mbncp's program too but, other than VSTi support (anyone using this succesfully in Sonar/P5?), I'm not sure what it offers above the free EZ Guitar 2.20 environment.
If anyone could give me a breakdown of what EZ_G Suite is capable of I'd love to hear from you before I spend my 30Euros!

All I use the scripts for are:sending all channels down to channel 1, and filtering out low velocity notes, so it only triggers when I pluck a string.
On my cheap computers, the hta scripts produce bad latency once I'm in a sequencer prog and recording tracks/playing back other tracks. The vst script(EZG Suite)has none.
The ez suite produces sticky notes though, makes it pretty sloppy sounding, I have to mute a lot.
I currently use the ndcMIDI plugs, for channel 1 stuff and velocity range. Flawless.
So the reason to buy the suite is:it won't be available forever, it's cheap, useful, flawless on a decent computer, and a good idea to support the author and no one else is stepping up.
