BR 048 - wrong cursors - is back
I've found out (by accident) how to get the wrong cursor e.g. the double-headed arrow, at various times.

It looks like LS is using the cursor last used in the host; to reproduce, try this (in energyXT):
- insert a LiveSlice comp,
- open a Sequencer and overlap it with LS,
- click on the Sequencer and move the mouse over one of the edges of the Sequencer window, so that it is now over the LiveSlice GUI,
- you can also do this in other hosts if you position LS next to a place where the cursor changes in the host.

See this screenshot

It doesn't happen if, for example, an MS Word window overlaps LS.

BR 060 - Access violation -reading address 0
[LS 1.4.5 beta4_3]
I was changing to another arrangement, and got an Access Violation, in LS at address 0000913a - read of address 00000000.

Also got it when deleting a track

BR 061 - Default [AHD] values
[LS 1.4.5 beta4_3]
Sometimes the default AHD values applied to any event are 1ms, 100% and 3%
Other times they are 1%, 100% and 3%

In all cases, I think the values should be 1%, 96% and 3% ?
Same for clicking [Reset]

BR 062 - Changing Absolute <-> Relative changes waveforms
[LS 1.4.5 beta4_3]
My event had an [H] value of 58% of 300% scale.

I changed the [H] scale from relative to absolute and the parameter value changed to 175ms (58% x 300ms scale) - this changes the envelope significantly.

What I expected was that the envelope would stay the same but the relative value 58% of a 300% scale would be changed to whatever 174% of the event duration was

Same goes for the [D] value.

BR 063 - Changing [D] scale does not change waveform graphics
[LS 1.4.5 beta4_3]
When I change the [D] parameter scale using the mouse scroll wheel, the parameter bar changes length indicating the change but the waveform does not.

I guess this saves CPU but it may be better if the waveform changes too.

BR 064 - Changing [H] scale mode changes copied events in other track
[LS 1.4.5 beta4_3]
I copied an event from track 1 to track 2
I changed the [H] scale for track 1 from Relative to Absolute and the events waveforms displays changed (see BR 061).

But when I moved the mouse over the copied event in track 2 its waveform display changed too. It looks like the graphics for this event is referring back to the track 1 event's graphics rather than its own.

BR 065 - [AHD] scale values not copied when copying events
I stretched an event and the [AHD] values were changed to 0ms, 80% of 90% and 17% of 600%.

I then copied the stretched event to another track, and looked at the [AHD] parameters, they were 0ms, 80% of 100% and 17% of 100%. The two arrangements played back the same (and the waveforms look the same). It looks like the scale values are just not copied to the new event correctly. If the song is saved these incorrect scales are saved.

I hope that this screenshot makes it clearer.

This leads to a consequent
FR 049: Use same parameter scales for all events
I guess if there are other events already in the destination arrangement then their [HD] values and scales may need adjusting so that all events on a track use the same scales.

FR 047 - Move parameter value display
When you move the parameter bar towards the low values, can the numeric value be displayed in the top-left corned of the event? It doesn't clash with the [x] as that icon is not displayed when editing parameter values.

FR 048 - Relative [AHD] values
When the scale for [AHD] is '"relative" The parameter value is shown as 0% to 100%
It would be better if the value was multiplied by the scale, then displayed. SO the real % would be displayed.

For example, if the scale is 300%, the parameter value would be from 0% to 150% (halfway-up) to 300% (at the top.

I like the sound of that............. please ohm......... :)

Darkstar, can you please stop submitting these fecking BRs so that Ohm can concentrate on Rex import :?

:hihi:

where can i sign up for the beta? :? am i meant to already have access to it since i purchased liveslice...or do i need to email someone or something? :ud:

WoJ, to apply to join the beta testers, email/PM ohm

scuzz, :P
I am guessing that several of these could apply to RX2 slices too.

true that

i'm not sure if this is a bug...

if it's not a bug, it's an FR.

when the randomize (dice) button is pressed, it randomizes the pattern. when the randomize button is pressed again, it goes back to the original slice order. is it possible to not have it go back to the original slice order? to have the pattern order randomized with every click of the dice button? then, if we wanted to go back to the original slice order, we could just use the reset button. it would be nice to be able to have constantly changes random patterns with the press of the dice button.

hopefully this makes sense. maybe you can already do this?

thanks!

So I'm not the only one hanging out for this functionality. :hihi:

- by design it goes back to the original order,
- you can keep the randomisation by right-clicking the Dice button
- this will turn off the Dice button but keep the rearranged events
- clicking Dice again creates a new random order.
- this works in v1.4.4 but is broken in v1.4.5 beta

HTH

PS I'm looking forward to RX2 too
