Stereo Delays (pedals or tabletop - not rack)

Following up my search for a tabletop filter, I'm also considering a stereo delay. Digital preferred, so it'll have longer delay times than most analog delays (and tape, though lovely, would just be too fussy).

Must be lightweight and portable, designed to sit on a flat surface, and have stereo inputs. An optional modulator would also be just dandy. Presets, MIDI sync, tap tempo, etc, all fine, but not essential.

So what's good, what's the best deal, what do you have, what do you like, and so on?

I'm inclined toward the new Eventide box, but I'm not actually sure when those are going to be available, so I could comfortably go another way in the interim.

As in Muse Receptor? Yes, too big. I already have a computer, don't need another. I'm looking for something I can just pick up and move around freely any time.

I'm so far narrowing in on either waiting for the Eventide (which looks like it'll be out in March) or getting the eowave Spacebug, but still not sure if I've scoped out all my options yet.

Hmm, that's a possibility. I didn't realize Boss had a stereo delay. It's ugly as all get out, mind you, but certainly worth checking in to. They probably even have it in at the local guitar shop to test out. Thanks.

What about the pioneer efx-1000?
I see them cheap on ebay.
Mayb check some og the small dj samplers( dont remember the names)
The electrix repeater is also maybe worth looking at

The trouble with most gear aimed at DJs, like the Pioneer thing, is that it is always ugly stupid. Now, I'm not a DJ, so maybe I overestimate their sense of style and decency, but I can't imagine why anyone would want ugly moulded-plastic-flashing-red_light gewgaws with stupid little turntable-like circle thing all over. I'd sooner learn how to bend time and space with my mind to make that echo than have that bagful of ugly around.

The trouble with the Repeater (other than they seem to go for $1000 -- I could get two of the new Eventide boxes for that and still have enough left over to bribe a local politician) is that it is rack gear.

Just how big are your tables, Bjarne?

if you cant wait for the eventide mod and delay boxes... then maybe the Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler, got all sorts of delay emulations

I have 2 Thinkpads on my table and running out of space:)

For giving your productions character, go for the boss ddl-1 , but they are 25 years old so maybe not include them in your live set up
