Hi folks !

I tried to get into the ezg_suite group in Yahoo, but I cannot find it in the list nor could I find a way to aplly for it, when I follow the links inthis thread ? I read through some posts in here, but not all (80 pages is just too much right now

)Someone willing to give me a hint ?

The group status has changed, only invited people can join now.
Anyway, you're not missing much as the demo is not working anymore.

Paul, thanks to remind me that I still have that page available, will need to remove it.
Btw. I won't be able to totally finish 1.08 the way I wanted, but everyone (except RunBeerRun) will receive the latest version by the end of the week.

Cool mbncp, It also reminded me that I needed to purchase it, so payment was just sent. I have not had my EZAG out for a while so I neglected to get in on this earlier. I do plan on pulling the baby out again soon though.
Does anyone know if the VST version works in Orion Platinum or Sonar6?

Thanks Paul, but are you aware that I will be away for 2-3 month and won't be able to give any support during that time ?

For the VSTi version you need a host that will send the sysex to the plug, and only a few alllow that (Cubase, VSTHost,..).
There is always the possibility to use the standalone to send some coded CC's.

Btw, does someone know if it's possible in Sonar to record the MIDI out of a VST-MIDI plug, without using a virtual MIDI cable ?

You never told me which host and instrument you're using with the suite. These hanging notes could be due to the fact that when we send twice the same note, a note_off is followed by a note_on with a delta time of 0. It could be that some host or instrument don't handle MIDI correctly and have a problem if both events have the same pitch (this is something that is impossible with a keyboard).
In 1.08 I added a parameter to allow to delay the note_on event a little if we re-trigger the same key.
I also added another parameter that will filter these keys if they come within a certain time. The problem I have is that most of the time I play with my fingers, and very often I will trigger a note twice, once with the thumb and within a very short time with the nail and this can be annoying, depending of the patch I use. And if I have hammer on enabled, I often pluck the string, resulting in sending the note_off/not_on 3 times in less than 50 msec. With this parameter the note is sent only once.

I have had the lingering notes using:

Hosts:savihost, minihost, cantabile,acid 4.0 and Reaper

computers:3 computers= 700mhz 128mb ram, two on xp sp2, one on win me

i use both m-audio usb to midi and yamaha usb to midi cable to connect

I'm missing something here, I don't think any of these will support the VST version. And if you use the standalone (EZ_G.exe), make sure that the original MIDI from the EZ doesn't make it to the host.

I only use the standalone, I assume the ez's midi is being taken up completely by the ez suite, if I use the suite to transpose up/down an octave, that's the only sound getting to my host, not the original key. I think that makes sense.

I did have another computer here for a while, not sure of the specs, xp sp2, and that was flawless.

You can't always assume that: if the MIDI port has multi-client drivers, then the same data can show up in two programs. So make sure your host has the EZ's physical port disabled!

(Doesn't sound like your problem from the description, but I know many people that had the same problem with my software)
