:P
Good morning everybody.

You all know the sound of Vangelis music.
I love this sound very much.
I would like to find out which vst would produce this
sound best.

Normally I'm making symphonic orchestra music for my personal pleasure.
Which vst fit the best to recreate such a symphonic sound?

Ähhhhhhhhm..If free...would be best. :harp:

Forget VST instruments. You need a load of Korg T series if you are talking of the sound of the 90's (Vangelis sound changed in the 90's thanks to this synths and the programming skills of Frederick Rousseau which is the real author of the late "sound of Vangelis).

Van Gelis? :hihi:

Van Gelis the Dutch keyboardist..or Vangelis the Greek one? :hihi:

Yamaha CS80 is his sort of signature sound though is it not? In which case you'd want this -

From CS-80 site...

ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/samples/demoweb/jerusalem_cs.mp3

Inspired from the choral piece of Chariots of Fire (Vangelis). This cathedral anthem was originally composed by Sir Hubert Parry (1848-1918) in 1900.

:borg: version...

A CS-80V demo song inspired by Vangelis and Eddie Jobsom. Big thanks to Mitsuru Sakaue.

Ahoy Jørn,

that's R66 with the original synth signal slightly ducking the reverb signal. Synth is Timewarp 2600, thought the synth would catch attention, not the reverb :hihi:

Is it me or does the CS80 Aturia sound nothing like the real thing?

That's more like it :D The Bladerunner album is the only cd that can get me to sleep when I have trouble sleeping.

heh, correct ... the cs80v doesn't sound like the real deal at all imo ...
however, i had to do an orchestral vangelis like song ... it never got finished ... all vst, no hardware ...
