I wasn't planning on it. But I guess I could. Those bass loops are a lot of fun in Dr Rex. The deal is, that bass loops are really hard to do well in ReCycle.

hmmm....
yes really true i think i am going to be tempted by this pack too :D

Good!

BTW you seem to be up on the current technology, so tell me, does Rex2 have any creative advantages over things like BeatCreators .zgr format? And are there any other up and coming Slicers that I should know about?

herodotus,

Tracktion 3 is going to support Rex2 - that is maybe another (small) reason to add Rex support? I have never used Rex, but I will probably try it with T3.

But anyway, these samples in wave format are just brilliant - I am having alot of fun with them, particularly (and suprisingly for me) the bass loops! There is some energy there!

AFAIK the only advantage rex2 format has over zgr is it is much more known and expanded but a number of sampler and host like halion ,fl slicer , Soundscape, Nuendo, SX, Sonar, PT LE, SAW, FL Studio supports zgr , the internal tools IMHO are better than in recycle for the quantization functions , especially for beatquantizer the big brother of beatcreator wich can Multi Track Audio Quantizing , the groove is also better handled .
here is the difference specifications of the softwares
http://www.beatcreator.com/documents/SUB_76.html
hope this help ,the only thing down is beatcreator is only for PC but i have a pc :D
for other slices techniques i know that Gol may be working on something fresher than the slices approach i'll quote him when i'll get home .
But btw zgr is not a new format it has been developped since 1999 Oct 17

Admit it, John. You like ReCycle. Almost as much as I do. More, actually, I think.

Actually, I will be looking at BeatCreator and BeatQuantizer in the following days.

Not to mention working on 3 other projects.

:)

test beatquantizer before as every functions in beatcreator are in beatquantizer it is the same interface but way more powerful especially for mass editing
