What about CC 64, sustain pedal?

Doesn't Expert Sleepers like sustain pedals :)

Just curious, is the usage of sustain pedals disabled in Minky and Xfade or am I doing something wrong?

Perhaps your keyboard sends out an "All Notes Off" message (cc#123) that these synths are obeying?

I don't know if we misunderstand each other. I don't have a problem with hanging notes and stuff like that. I only wonder why I can't get notes to sustain by using my sustain pedal.

In Minky it seems like CC64 is mapped to a controller in the GUI and in XFade nothing happens when I use sustain.

In other plugins my sustain pedal works so it's nothing wrong with it or with my setup.

But perhaps there's something in the Expert Sleepers-settings I can change?

You're misunderstanding my response. ;)

If your keyboard sends out CC#123 when you release your fingers from all the keys, then it will override the sustain pedal even if it's down.

So if you press down your sustain pedal, press a note on the keyboard, and then *lift* your hand from the keyboard, the sound will stop as if the synth *didn't* respond to hold pedal (because it's responding to the "All Notes Off" message as priority).

But I don't know if this is the problems with the synths you mention here. I've just helped people with all sorts of strange sustain pedal problems before: check out my free TenCrazy.com MFX SustainFIx plugin if your host can handle MFX plugins!

Minky Starshine responds to sustain on MIDI channels 5 and above - all controllers on channels 1-4 are reserved for remote parameter control.

Crossfade Loop Synth doesn't currently respond to sustain at all. (Amazing that noone's ever noticed!) However the next version (which I expect to launch very soon) will.

OK, that's a bit unusual but now I know. Thanks.
New version of Xfade sounds exciting!
