Hi all,

My friend described this as Portishead meets Bjork. Personally, I think it's more of a dystopian futurepop... but honestly I've got no idea how to describe it so people actually know what I'm talking about. :?

Horse Head.

Jelly shapes
of fluid love,
of rising sun
admit to me

All your promises
All your broken hearts
All your disgusting desires
Come clean

Show me
Oh show me
Show me you're human

Nice voice! .....and song ;)

Great vocals, both the performance and the processing. Love the gritty dark intense music and the mix of sounds (great percussion, amongst other things).

Dystopian futurepop sounds like as good a descriptor as any to me. Very nice stuff.

Tremendous track! And wow... what a vocal
Thank you for sharing it - one of the best Music Cafe tracks I think I've heard :D

brilliant.

Stellar composition and production. My only critique - that snare seems to bright and snappy/slappy for the style of the track, or maybe it's just a bit too loud...probably just me.

I had listened before reading your blurb, Portishead was what came to mind as listening, too. Really great track, the singer has a lovely voice, and your production has really framed her vocals well.

Post

Also, I would like to encourage you to continue making tracks with your sister. I remember the other one you did with her a while ago, still stands out as one of the best pop songs I've heard in the past few years. You both offset each other's style very well.

stellar. fresh sounds, great vocals and wonderful production.

Post

OK. That was pretty awesome.

Excellent vocalist melded into an excellent tune - fantastically organic yet with a delicious melodic layer floating above the noise and effects.
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

This is a haunting song, wonderful, yes, a bit like Bjork sounding, but the voice is more "direct" or, err, how should I say. A wonderful voice, quite outstanding, needs no comparison.
Came to this after reading the excellent posts of many in the "sitting the vocals in the mix" thread and clicking the link there, and will directly go from my crappy laptopspeakers to the headphones (neighbour) to enjoy this in full. Now I have to search for the other song of you and your sister shamann mentioned. Lovely song, even on the laptop! One of those to keep for sure.

Thanks guys. I'll point her to this thread so she can read your comments.

Still loving the song, Kim :) There's lots to hear, I mean really hear, in this...

I don't suppose you could post links to your other tracks with your sister, please? I do remember listening before, but can't find them now :D

...and tell us the name of the other song you recorded with your sister :). Just browsed your website (do I know your name from the QuantumFX2-userlibrary too, by the way? It's midnight, but there rings a (at the moment rather silent :hihi: ) bell). The "100heavy100" song is unbelievably sad (well, for my taste) and superb (exactly my taste sometimes), will listen to all time after time; but I didn't find the one Shamann mentioned up to now.
Off for listening with better speakers now, cheerio and thanks again.
