Being a sampled guitar addict, and even if I already have 3 killer guitar libs (CHG, LD, PLP), I'm once again looking for more sonic options in this area (and also, for smaller patches to use when quick /simple sketching is required)
Now, I see that electric/acoustic guitars as well as electric basses are available in Sonic Capsules and Exopansion tanks, and that there's a quite incentive bundle on sale right now for the capsules... 8)
But I wonder which differences I must be aware of between those 2 collections ? (other than available formats of course)

Are the instruments the same, in quality, variety, articulations.... ?
Or are there 2 completely different products ?
I can't really tell solely from the demos (which are sometimes deceiving), but if I had to choose based on them, I'd sure go for the capsule bundles whose songs sound a lot better and detailed IMO.... but it may just be that the demo-maker was better, or the same but more inspired at that time....
So, anyone having tried/purchased both, and knows ?
Or Kim, Squids, can you tell ?
Thanks in advance !

The Capsules are more detailed and have more variations, whereas the Expansion Tank is more basic. However, the Expansion Tank has both acoustic and electric guitars, whereas you'd have to get two Capsules to cover the same. I highly recommend the Capsule Bundle - all six Capsules are really top notch.

I have to agree. The Capsules also have the advantage of the ability to translate them into different formats, such as Kontakt, Halion...

Thanks to both of you, Kim, and Harmony gardens !
I placed my order for the bundle a few hours ago. I did'nt know for this "epoints" bizness, harmony, so I did not take advantage of it, but I appreciate the offer.
Anyway the bundle is already so friendly priced, that I have in fact little to regret
Looking forward to receiving the discs now (a few days from now, since I'm in Europe....)
