Do you own all 20 of the original refills? Because first right there is the biggest difference as the Gold Editin has all 20. But, besides that I think the Combinators that are included are worth the upgrade alone. That and also improvements were made with a major overhaul so if you use Reason 3 or greater down the line I think it's best to have the new Sonic Refill versions that you get in the Gold Bundle. There's also the Miroslav Refills for orchestral sounds as well to consider.

The Gold Bundle is a collection of refills. The only difference between the Gold Bundle and the individual refills is that the Gold Bundle is Reason 3.0 only (The individual refills are also compatible with Reason 2.5, if you haven't upgraded).

I think he was asking about the ORIGINAL refills which M-Audio had that weren't done for 3.0 with Combinators yet. Those are sometimes floating around cheap and they're not bad (there never was a Gold Bundle of those) but with the value of the Gold Bundle and the 3.0 Combinators and updated programming I really think that's anyone's best way to go. Best value, best performance etc. You get over 8,000 patches with the Gold Bundle.

p.s. after going thru all 8000 sounds i do not want to see another preset again.
