A quick question about tuning-
How important (if at all) is it for sound designers to tune their patches? In other words, after doing all the sound design, with FM and oscillator spread, etc.; should the patch then be tuned to a=440?

Yeh I imagine thats a good idea I mean especially if you are going to use guitars or other external instruments. I mean its going to cause unwanted dissonance otherwise.
Probably just use your ears. If it sounds good...
use it.
Mostly though if your synth is sweeping through loads of frequencies then it might not be that easy to tune to 440 I would imagine...
