Im running a sony viao with windows xp laptop wont read akai samples. What do I need to play these samples in kontakt?

You'll need to convert them with something like ESC.

That's not true. Kontakt can read AKAI discs natively. Just put the disc in your CD-Rom and use Kontakt's browser. In fact, you can read almost any sample/library format with Kontakt; it's one of its selling features.

I mean, AKAI import has been in Kontakt since 1.0.

It can convert between most sample formats out there.

ya....when you put in an akai cd....your computer will say nothing is in there...or that it cant read the disc...but when you open kontakt (i recomend standalone for this) you can browse to the disc and choose import...its greaT! it will remake the instruments and everything!

Just keep scrolling down with the browser....it'll be probably at the bottom of the list.

Yup, It imports AKAI very well.
