What do you think? Should I get a small Mackie or a small Soundcraft mixer? To be used in homestudio.
What mixer?

Both can be fine... What are you exactly looking for? What's to be connected?

From what I understand they are both excellent mixers. I have a Soundcraft M8 which sounds great. It is so much quieter than the Behringer UB2442FX Pro that I had before. When I bought the M8 it was nearly half the price of the roughly equivilent Mackie Onyx however Mackie have just released the new VLZ3 mixers which are closer to the Soundcraft prices. What is your budget and requirements? The Soundcraft M8 series offer the best value for money in my opinion.

I have a Behringer and the rest is also pretty basic stuff. But I have to start upgrading somewhere. Thanks for you answers.

Apart from an upgrade from your Behringer (which one?) what are you exactly looking for?
How will you be using it? Mainly for playback, or also for recording? Do you need EQ, effect sends, inserts, group buses, direct outs?
What's to be connected? Think of mics, synths, guitars, soundcard, headphone, monitors, etc etc. -10 or +4dBu line connections?"Phantom power required? Direct digital connection with the PC?
