hey guyz..
now i'm looking for a unexpensive mic pre...
i'm considering to buy VTB-1 or Presonus BlueTube DP...
first one supports one channel to be recorded simultaneously
second one has two channel...
but i don't need to record both two channel at once...
i need more decent quality...
i'll use one for vocal & guitar recording...
if u know anythin awesome mic pre without them with low price just tell me plz...
but actually my mind is getting toward VTB-1.. cuz i have Studio Project C1 mic =)
anyone use VTB-1 with satisfaction ? just tell me its good point..
in conclusion.. sorry about my poor english..thx for reading =)

I've never tried these but have researched low-priced pres to death. VTB-1 is supposed to be pretty nice. Its distinguishing feature is that it has an impedence switch, which can give your mic another tonal character or accomodate certain low-impedence mics. As for the Presonus, most people says it's too noisy, though it has been mentioned as good for recording electric guitars. If you really want two channels, you could go with the M-Audio DMP3, which doesn't have a tube, but for single channel the VTB-1 is highly regarded.
