Is this problem familiar with anyone else?
I'm trying to get my Powercore installed but windows is not detecting it!
Everything on the card seems to be ok, since all 4 dsp lights light up.
I got it secondhand, and the seller said he never experienced any problem like this before.
So I think it has something to do with windows or maybe bios settings instead.
Any help is welcome!

its very importend to install the driver software BEFORE installing the card in the computer.
other point: are any other cards installed?
change the PCI slots where the PoCo is installed.

There's one Creamware Pulsar 1 card installed, and I did try the other Pci slot, but no luck.
And another thing, how is installing the right drivers before installing the card gonna change the way my system detects Pci devices?

ive had similair problems in the past - you might have to move your creamware card to let the poco try that slot - but don't panic - I'm pretty sure it's not a dud as long as the lights still come on
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Hey Djones,
when you say the LED's on the card light up, are all 4 LED's lid up and are they green? I used to have some issues like this too, and I had to delay the boot process in my BIOS because my computer at the time was booting too fast.
Hope this helps.

if there is no other card in your PC & you have tested all slots then its looking like the card is not compatible with your hardware (or the card is damaged)
check for chipset & & other motherboard driver updates & bios updates, see if you can test hte card in another PC aswell,
my card was seen by windows before installing the drivers,
good luck

But how do I delay my boot process?

You should be able to set a delay in the BIOS. Something like QUIET BOOT or F10 Delay or something. Go into the BIOS and snoop around. I am not familiar with your mobo, so I don't know what it says. Usually though you can set a boot delay in the BIOS.
Let me know if it worked.
Thanks,
Ken
