O.K. Here's one from me that I did early on--so I followed the under 2 minute rule. I was hoping to remix it with my new monitors, but they're back-ordered, so I guess this'll have to do.
Click on SONIK SCIENCE here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=668918
All bongos, cymbals and drums are from the REX RAW collection. No other loops are used. The rest are actual performances using the following IK products:
Main Keys Rhythm and B3 patches: Sonik Synth 2
Piano, Bass, Flugelhorn: Sampletank 2.1
Steel Guitar: ST2.1 Guitar Collection Exp. Tank
Background Electric Guitar: ST2.1 Guitar Collection (one of the Metheny patches) fed through AT2
Reverb courtesy of CSR.
Mix/Master courtesy of TRacks.
Hope you like it.
Cheers

Nice job right here. This got me wanting to check into Miroslav Philharmonik. I will have to search for it and see what it is all about. A bit of inspiration. I checked out some of your other tracks. Kind of video game music or war scene music.

This has got a little bit of funk to it."Its Later Than You Think"- Are you triggering those samples? If not you must be using some funk samples. Sounds like a bit of disco in there. Could just be me. Good job!! I like it!!

Its Miroslav Philharmonik Choirs only. Enjoy

Nice arrangement. I could learn a thing or two from this arrangement. I was waiting for you to bring other instrumentation into the track. Nice work though.

Thanks so much. This one was a struggle to get done. It is more of a skeleton arrangement that a full piece. The ideas are quite rudimentary.Nice arrangement. I could learn a thing or two from this arrangement. I was waiting for you to bring other instrumentation into the track. Nice work though.

Okay, that's good enough to do the contest. I also have some that people submitted to me and even a few mystery ones to throw you all off (hehe). I will round them up and put them into a poll and you all can vote starting tomorrow. Any last minute entries you've got until tomorrow at say 11 am our time (Florida time) to get us a link in this thread.Shantar wrote:21... ...is the total number of demos!

You got some good ones too!
I had hoped to have had time to do some new stuff but the day job has been kickin' my ass.
In any case, these were experiments in doing precisely what the rules say....
http://home.comcast.net/~beergeek/rexikmix2.mp3
Cubase SE3, 9 loops from RAW (and no other music live or otherwise), T-RackS, AT2 and CSR.
and
http://home.comcast.net/~beergeek/YouKnowIneedYou.mp3
PTLE 7, Tracktion 2, 4 RAW loops, live bass w/AT1, CSR and T-RackS. I also used K2 to manipulate and play the REX loops.
