SampleTank pedal steel

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I'm just desperately getting to grips with VSTs and have a newbie problem.

I have Sampletank 2 LE, and the pedal steels from Sonic Reality's Guitar Collection.

OK, all up, all running, all sweetness and light.

BUT: is there a way (without recording notes live and using the pitch bend wheel) to get the notes to bend into one another as a real pedal steel does?

Someone among you illustrious folks must have some ideas - or can guide me to a way of creating the effect. (I HOPE)

You could try enabling portamento mode and increasing the glide time. You'll only be able to play one note at a time though.

Yeah, a few minutes working with it and I got as far as that. Since I was "steel" free a few hours ago, the results are very pleasing in the limited way it can be done.
