Hi Jason,

I just downloaded the CSR UB version (sans dongle!!), authorized the CSR Hall and it went great; everything OK. Trying launching one of the other ones, and the Authorizor pops up again. The same happened to me with ST2, but you told me to manually change permissions on the ST2Prefs file in the Application Support. However, there appears to be no equivalent file for the CSR (and I've Repaired Permissions on the MacBook Pro). So, bottom line, it's not "holding" the authorization. Any ideas?

I am allowing this because it is the weekend and if Jason wants to reply on the weekend that's nice of him. But, otherwise, this is not an IK support forum.

There could be one this year though. It's on the table. But, this isn't it. This is the Sonic Reality & esoundz forum. Just a reminder (and Marcel you should know that).

Squids, I realize this is your forum and you can do what you want, but why single out the OP for a wrist slapping.

Take a look up and down your forum. It's practically all IK related. Several of the other posts are clearly requests for support as well.
There's even a post from someone named "IK Support" that's clearly an official statement from IK about a new release.
Your response just struck me as a bit of a double standard.
I too, think IK should have their own forum, here on KvR.
cheers!

Hi Squids,

I'm sorry to put you off, and yes, I do know that it not an official IK forum, but until there is one, it's really the only place to see if you, Jason, or any user has experienced a specific problem or needs a question answered. Jason has always been super, but I think most inquiries that I've made through the official channels have gone unanswered.

It's really only that I actually love all of IK's product, and of course that goes hand-in-hand with your content, and that I or any user want to USE the product. I DO understand that you want to moderate this forum for appropriate content, and I respect that. I DID second guess this posting, but like I said, what other options do we have (for now)?

Anyway, again, I'm sorry to have annoyed you Dave; it was NOT my intent in the slightest, and I truly respect the kindness and commitment that you've shown to all of us.

It's not that it is annoying, it is that we DO talk about IK products but mostly because esoundz carries them and many people here choose to support esoundz by getting their IK and of course SR products there. But, using it as IK's support forum is not what it is for... sometimes it is okay if it is a joint IK/SR product but even then THIS forum is to talk more about the sound part... the Sonic Reality part. At least as far as tech support goes. The software part is something done through IK itself who handles it a certain way, documenting the issues in a support system and there's a cue... I agree it will be great when/if IK has a support forum of its own. It won't be on KVR though.

Anyway, every once in a while this forum starts to turn into that and I have to remind everyone that it is in fact the SONIC REALITY and ESOUNDZ forum. We can drift a little bit but reporting problems with IK products, especially products that don't even involve SR is not what this forum is for. Like I said, I let it slide because it was the weekend and if Jason was going to be around then that's awefully nice of him to do! He's a paid IK employee who works his regular hours and I am sure he and the other support staff are quite busy enough as it is going through people contacting support directly.

I am not an employee so I post whenever I can and it isn't like I am on the clock... 2 am on a Sunday? Weird hours. ;)

Anyway, I am not mad or anything. I just want to be able to provide a forum where we can accomodate people and not get too far into a territory we're not reponsible for.
