Anyone has some good hints regarding cheap keyboards/synths modules, that despite sounding horrible (or not) make a fine midi controller ?

I'm on the cheap tip lately...

When I had stuff all over the floor, I got a $20 no name brand roll-up 37 key piano with midi out. It's thin and rolls up in a ball.

I got a 61 key Casio CTK uh CTK 496 I think for $41.

I got a Rolls Royce automobile for $450,000 plus $10 UPS shipping.

an crazy lecturer of mine from a while back told me to go to garage sales and buy these crappy keyboards and what-not just for the midi controllers.

Great advice, although, as I said, he was crazy…

Cheap gear as midi controllers ?
