Just tried it in Cubase 4, seemed to work just like it should :)

Which is interesting btw since C4 no longer supports DX. So hey, you've got yourself a plugin that'll be high up on the must have list of any C4 users.

Great plugin and thanks for giving it away for free!

thx for testing majken, nice to hear.

@sinkmusic
checked out voxengo span v1.8 in effectchainer now. works fine here. tested in several hosts. if you still have problems with this plug please specify the error and host in more detail.

I'm sorry to say that v 1 won't appear to load in Usine 2.3

There's just response at all.

If I can get it to work I'll come drop you a line.

thx runagate, i will test this.

Usine does a good thing when it won't load a VST, though: nothing.

No crash, no nothing, just doesn't seem to understand what I want. Which is much better than locking up.

I'm going to be futzing with it more tonight though so I might be able to get it to load.

C# is almost a complete analog of Java. There are some syntactical differences, but the concepts are the mostly same. The main developer of C++ had previously worked on Visual J++ for Microsoft, so it is not suprising that it is so similar to Java (although he had a lot of other language design experience with Delphi..). I happen to like Java better, because I almost never have anything to do with Windows if I can help it. C++ is at least _portable_, as much as C is in most cases. C# is tied into .NET, COM, and Microsoft tech in general. Developing in C++ is going to give you access to a wider range of platforms I think. You don't lose anything by working in C++, and you don't gain anything by tying yourself to .NET (especially when it comes to audio development).
Notice that Java has extensive audio/midi support, but almost no major commercial audio projects are Java based. I think the same applies to C#.

Sorry 'bout this picturefull post but, ... is there something wrong w/ these results w/ EffectChainer + Foobar (I couldn't find any information on supported/restricted SRs in EffectChainer)?

Software:
1 - Foobar2k 0.9.3,
2 - Secret Rabbi SRC for Foobar2000 v.0.9.x (all Fb2k resamplers gives ~same result)
3 - Winamp Bridge for Foobar (CannibalZerg),
4 - VST Host DSP for Winamp (C. Budde),
5 - Acon Effect Chainer 1.01,
6 - Voxengo SPAN 1.7/1.8

Source1: 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV sweep signal (20Hz-20kHz -6dB)
Source2: Source1 converted to 96kHz w Voxengo r8brain

A. 1-->3-->4-->5-->6, Source1

B. 1-->2(->48kHz)-->3-->4-->5-->6, Source1

C. 1-->2(->96kHz)-->3-->4-->5-->6, Source1

Changing output bit-depth has no effect. Source2 seem to give same results.

Everything works well w/o EffectChainer in path.

A2. 1-->3-->4-->6, Source1

B2. 1-->2(->48kHz)-->3-->4-->6, Source1

C2. 1-->2(->96kHz)-->3-->4-->6, Source1
