What is the advantage?

I am wondering what the advantage is to Manystation over Wusikstation. I own the latter, and since there are plenty who own both, I figure there has to be a reason.
The thing is, I can't find a reason after searching; but then again, I am blind sometimes.
I mean no malice, just wondering with open mind.

Hi
Well there is no advantage, the idea is that ManyStation has an entirely different sample collection. The Samples in ManyStation are, for the most part, more detailed and larger size sets (more samples or layers) than the standard wusikstation. But because of that there are not as many Soundsets, but rather less soundsets with a higher level of detail. ManyStation also includes over 700 presets and these and the soundsets (samples) all load into WusikStation as well. See our webpage for a detailed list of the samples included. Things like very nice guitars and bass samples and other detailed sets that don't come with WusikStation.
We offer a crossgrade to ManyStation from WusikStation, but we are also planning on just offering the soundsets and presets for you guys that already own WusikStation version 3. ManyStation still uses the version 2 Wusik engine, so for those of you that have version 3 this sounds and presets deal will be the way to go.
We will announce this special soon and I can say, it will be a good chance for those of you that don't already own both ManyStation and WusikStation to update your content to include some ManyTone Samples. We have a large number of customers who own both, and love both.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looking forward to the special. I did see some of the soundsets that i wished I had, and that was one reason i was looking at Manystation.

IMO, Wusik and Manystation enhance EACH OTHER. I advise getting both - along with UBK and Manyguitar (quite possibly the best guitar synth ever made), Vox'd and TSW Pro (BITR) and Vera's new Mistral. Armed with all of those, you cannot possibly go wrong - and they are all interchangeable in some way.

Guitar synth? Can it be triggered by a guitar?Karmacomposer wrote:IMO, Wusik and Manystation enhance EACH OTHER. I advise getting both - along with UBK and Manyguitar (quite possibly the best guitar synth ever made),

AFAIK not, unless you have a Guitar-to-midi interface. Manyguitar is 'only' a MIDI-driven VSTi, but with great guitar samples, great presets, and IIRC you can use all the other Manystation and Wusikstation soundsets with Manyguitar.

And you only need a couple of 100's dollars to get all of the Wusik libraries and extensions. btw you forgot Jeremy's Zvon's and DangerousBear's sample sets. What I try to say: It's easy to advise that someone should just buy them all... But most people have to choose carefully how they spend their money. And if you don't like pads and ambient sounds, 70-80% of the Wusikstation sounds are useless.Karmacomposer wrote:IMO, Wusik and Manystation enhance EACH OTHER. If I had to choose only one of the Wusik-related products right now, it would be ManyGuitar.
