Take supersaw (several saw waves layered, detuned, chorused etc.)...
Add some delay and/or reverb...
Lay gating pattern on top...
Write simple melody...
Automate cutoff and/or resonance.

I think that's basically it?

How do I make it more of a sharp sound (I don't know the right terms)?

Sounds good! Sharpness comes from higher frequencies, so try a highpass filter. Raising the resonance should also help bring out the highs. You could try setting one of the oscillators to play an octave higher too.
