I just read on a Dutch review that someone has used FinalScratch as midi clock master, so Traktor DJ should run at the same BPM (if everything is set up correctly). And regardless of the small delay, everything should start at the same time (so midi start command is sent after the initial delay)
Finding a midi cable should be no problem. A small (less than $10) investment really... You'll figure it out.
What's the model of the Yamaha GrooveBox? Do you have a midi implementation sheet for it?

You can walk into any electronics shop, and ask for a 5-pole DIN cable. Fair chance that'll work, and if not: no harm done. Get one at first, and ask weather you can get your money back if it doesn't work.
DX-200: the FM-synth module with drum samples? Do you use it's sequencer?
Since you've got three devices to sync, it's getting complicated... You 'll have to do some testing what works best for your workflow.

i like to use it live while i dj...normally i sync manually...meaning i set the bpm on the dx200 and mix my records to it....i find it very hard to match the dx200 afterwards....since you change bpm with a knob and no pitch bend....i:ll try to find one....but in japan you never return things...its culturally unacceptable and rude....
