Does anyone know what drums are used to make up the various kits in the ST2 XL library? I'm particularly curious about the instruments and micing used to create the BigVintage, VeryOld and British kits.
Is more material similar to this available in the SR/esoundz offerings?

I don't know about the sampling process used for the kits. However, they are different to the Sonic Reality kits.
The kits in SampleTank2 tend to be pre-processed at the sample level, which makes it easy to quickly get up and running. The Sonic Reality kits tend to be more "raw", which gives you the freedom to process them however you like. The I-Map kits in Sonik Synth 2, for example, have minimal processing on their own, but the child presets use the built in effects in SampleTank2 (including the tube compression, EQ, and limiting based on T-RackS).

thanks, Kim
I'm really looking for some idea of the actual drums recorded - ie what specific drums were recorded for the vintagekit. Not so much about the nature of the sample/kit programming. But thanks for your thoughts on that.
Perhaps a question for IKMM?
