hell lets simulate a studio enviroment with virtual ashtrays and mugs filled with black coffee .. and virtual mouldy winebottles with candle grease leaving oily stains on the virtual instruments .. not to mention a virtual fire that could leave smoke damage and melted casing when we didn`t watch out and played with our virtual electronic transformer or our virtual soldering iron when our virtual moog mudular its cables are fractured
and dirty wrinkled pieces of paper with little words and notes lying around
and the opportunety to clean up our virtual mess (OPTIONAL)

The oscillator module in Spark FXmachine has a cheese sandwich on it that gets eaten over time
Actually, sort of offtopic, but after reading that someone (Add N to X?) collected multiple MS20's because they all sounded different, and I always thought it would be cool if someone offered a softsynth that was guaranteed to be unique for each one, ie some sort of random factor was added in to various parameters (drift, accuracy et.c.) dependent on a registration code or something...

Well, it's do-able. But, I would think that you'd need to have a really good sounding analogue emulation in the first place before it became worthwhile. I gave my opinions on this elsewhere on this forum. The law of diminishing returns would probably make a "perfect" analogue emulation commercially un-viable....and even if it could be done there are still apparently an awful lot of people who tolerate such huge amounts of obvious aliasing from some of the so-called "analogue" emulations out there surely such subtlety would be completely lost on them?a softsynth that was guaranteed to be unique for each one
